What is a Guaranty Association?
A Guaranty Association is an independent, non-profit legal group created to act as a safety net for insurance companies that are having financial trouble. When a member company fails, the Association helps pay claims.
Do all insurance companies in Texas belong to a Guaranty Association?
No, only licensed Texas insurance companies can join. If a company without a license has financial problems, it might be hard to get your claim paid.
