What is 'net resources' for child support?
'Net resources' means all money the paying parent receives from every source, such as wages, tips, bonuses, and retirement benefits. It is not the same as take-home pay.

The court usually assumes that guideline child support is in the child's best interest, but there are times the court can decide to use different factors.
