Notice of Production from Nonparty & Subpoena for Production of Documents from Nonparty

What is the difference between the two forms?
Form 12.931(a) is the Notice, which tells the other party that you plan to get documents. Form 12.931(b) is the actual subpoena that directs the nonparty to give the documents.
What happens after filing the Notice?
After serving the Notice, you must wait a certain amount of time before asking the clerk to sign the subpoena and having it personally served on the nonparty.
