- Only the program operator can ask the court for orders against a participant. Program participants, employees, or neighbors cannot ask for these orders themselves.
- What is a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO)?
- A TRO is an order that stops the abuse or misconduct and takes effect right away. It lasts for a maximum of five days, or until a hearing, whichever is longer.
- What must the program operator prove to get a TRO?
- The program operator must prove that the participant engaged in misconduct or abuse and that great or irreparable harm will happen before the hearing if the TRO is not given.
