The Petitioner must complete items 1 and 2 only. The court will complete the rest of the form.
What happens if the judge grants a restraining order?
If you attend the hearing and the judge grants a restraining order against you, the order is effective right away, and you could be arrested if you break it. If you don't attend, the judge might still grant an order that could last up to five years.
If I need to change the hearing date, what form do I use?
You can use the Request to Continue Court Hearing for Gun Violence Restraining Order (form GV-115) if you cannot attend or need more time to prepare.
